Due to COVID-19, the Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Area, American Job Centers are closed to the general public. If you are a business or jobseeker in need of workforce services, please contact your local American Job Center for additional details.

Who We Are:

The Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board (WDB) is comprised of representatives and leaders from local area businesses in Carroll and Howard counties in conjunction with the areas’ partners.  The WDB’s primary responsibility is to provide guidance, and oversight to the local workforce development system through the Howard County Office of Workforce Development and Carroll County Business and Employment Resource Center (BERC). Our Vision: The mission of the Mid-Maryland WDB, in partnership with the local elected officials in Carroll and Howard counties, is to provide leadership in strengthening a responsive and effective workforce development system.
